Trg Svetog Trojstva 21, Požega, Hrvatska

Smatra se da je crkva sa samostanom sagrađena oko 1285. g. Za turske vlasti pretvorena je u džamiju, a njezin je izgled kroz stoljeća promijenjen nizom dogradnji.

U arheološkom istraživanju provedenom 1995. g. pronađen je romanički portal iz 13. st., jedan od najvećih romaničkih portala pronađenih u Hrvatskoj.

Po odlasku Osmanlija, franjevci obnavljaju crkvu i grade novi samostan. Prostor crkve ispod svetišta namijenili su grobnici u kojoj su pokopani brojni glasoviti Požežani, poput fra Luke Ibrišimovića „Sokola“.

Crkva i samostan smatraju se jednim od najvrjednijih baroknih građevina na širem prostoru.
Samostan se posebno ističe svojom bogatom knjižnicom koju su osnovali franjevci i u kojoj se čuvaju rijetke knjige i inkunabule.

It is believed that the church with the monastery was built around 1285. It was converted into a mosque by the Turkish authorities, and its appearance was changed over the centuries by a series of additions.

An archaeological excavation carried out in 1995 found a Romanesque portal from the 13th century, one of the largest Romanesque portals found in Croatia.

After the departure of the Ottomans, the Franciscans renovated the church and built a new monastery. The space of the church, below the sanctuary, was intended for the tombs in which many famous people from Požega were buried, such as friar Luka Ibrišimović “Sokol”.

The church and the monastery are considered one of the most valuable Baroque buildings in the wider area.
The monastery stands out with its rich library founded by the Franciscans and in which rare books and incunabula are kept.
