Djelatnici Parka godinama ulažu napore u poboljšanje njegove turističke ponude, ali istovremeno pomno prate razvoj biljnog i životinjskog svijeta te rade na njihovom očuvanju. S obzirom na to da je zapadni dio Papuka bogat geološkim nasljeđem, došlo je do razvoja ideje o stvaranju interpretacijske točke na kojoj će posjetitelji tog kraja moći spoznati povijesne i prirode značajke mjesta na kojem se nalaze.

Izvrsna prilika za poboljšanje ponude na zvečevačkom području bila je prijava na projekt ‘Interreg Danube GeoTour’. Opći cilj projekta bio je poboljšati upravljačke kapacitete i strategije, razviti praktična rješenja za aktivaciju georaznolikosti te postići pozitivne tržišne trendove za razvoj održivog turizma u osam geoparkova dunavske regije.

The employees of the Park have been making efforts for years to improve its tourist offer, but at the same time they are closely monitoring the development of flora and fauna and working on their preservation. Given that the western part of Papuk is rich in geological heritage, the idea of creating an interpretation point has been developed where visitors to the area will be able to learn about the historical and nature features of the place where they are located.

An excellent opportunity to improve the offer in the Zvečevo area was to apply for the ‘Interreg Danube GeoTour’ project. The overall goal of the project was to improve management capacities and strategies, develop practical solutions for activating geodiversity and achieve positive market trends for the development of sustainable tourism in eight geoparks in the Danube region.
